Waterfront cottage transformation
A whole cottage brought up to date for the water it looks out on — new deck, glass railings, black windows and doors, and new siding, finished over the winter so the owners had it for the first good days of the season.
- Rebuilt the deck in low-maintenance Trex decking.
- Glass railings, so nothing stands between the deck and the water.
- Removed the old windows and fitted black windows and patio doors.
- Black soffit, fascia and eavestrough, with pot lights.
- Insulated and strapped the exterior walls, then finished them in Cape Cod-style board-and-batten siding.
